There’s Gonna Be A Party

This coming Sunday evening at 5pm, we are having a family cookout to close out our current semester of small groups, and conclude Student ministry for the summer.  We will have a bonfire, outside games, as well as hot dogs and burgers.  Everyone is asked to bring a salad or something to share.  I am sure we will do some s’mores too.  The evening will end with some singing and a short devotion.

Summertime brings a different pace to Crossroads.  I realize that it is a time for camping, vacations, and spending more time with family.  This is why we intentional try to keep the calendar of events to an essential minimum.  There will still be some bigger events, and I hope you will participate as much as possible.

Another phenomenon that comes with the summer months is what we affectionately call “The Slump”.  When folks go away for the weekend and miss worship, the impact is our offerings drop.  In recent years it has not been as bad because we encourage members to set up online, automatic giving.  My wife and I give online, and we like it.  It is safe, secure, and allows for us to focus on other things on Sunday morning.

If you have any questions or concerns about online giving, speak to me or Dawn Nance.  We would love to answer any questions you may have and walk you through the process.  I also want to thank you for your generous support of Crossroads regardless of how you give.  Without it, we would not be able to do the ministry we provide.

See You Sunday,
