Serving The Lord

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day this past Sunday.  It was great to have so many moms in the service.  I must admit to an oversight that I want to correct.  I should have taken the time to recognized April Townsend (pictured below).  Not that she does what she does for any recognition, but she should have been.
For the last few years, April has, with lots of help from others, been the point person for Women’s Ministry.  She has also put together the Mother’s Day Tea on the Saturday before Mother’s Day.  This past Saturday, she did another outstanding job.  I have heard nothing but rave reviews from the ladies.  I wanted to thank her as I am sure the ladies have already done.
She is one of many individuals who make Crossroads the wonderful congregation it is.  There are folks Sunday after Sunday, and week after week who volunteer their time and talent in our ministries.  They cook, clean, and cuddle infants.  They cut the grass and maintain the facilities.  They don’t do it to be recognized, but to humbly serve their Lord and Savior.  They labors serve ALL OF US.
This coming Saturday is our monthly Men’s Breakfast at
8am.  We will continue our study of Leadership, specifically how to be a leader at work or in your profession.  Following the breakfast, we will be going to Tonya Grimm’s to move her to her new house.  This should start around 10am.  If you can come and help, it would be appreciated.

See You Sunday,
